In December 2005, Vawter wrote a paper about designing a town for solar electric vehicle use. On Wednesday evening, July 5th, 2006, he will be discussing the topic on the radio show "Bike Talk" hosted by Alexandra Svoboda. Her show is broadcast from Providence, Rhode Island, on 88.1 FM from 7:30-8:30 PM.
